I picked up a Western Auto Supply Revelation Model 205, a store branded Mossberg 472, and I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about these lever-action rifles? They seem to be pretty rare, and while I don't expect it to be worth much, it's really hard to find info on them.
1. It's got a "rebounding hammer," which also means it has no half-cock position. Does a rebounding hammer allow carrying with one in the chamber, safety off, or is it just as dangerous as with lever actions that don't have rebounding hammers? If I'm carrying it, it'll probably be with the safety on or the chamber empty, but I'm curious.
2. Does anyone know a convenient way to add peep sights? It came drilled and tapped, looking exactly like the rifle from this other post (the last pic has a much better picture of the receiver than I could take). Any chance this rifle will be compatible with the accessories from more common lever actions like the 336?

Thanks for the help.
