mossberg 500 barrel swap

I just bought a mossberg 500 with an 18.5'' bbl. it has the 3'' chamber and 5 shot mag. I want a 28'' bbl on it for birds and skeet. I don't know if all the barrels for the 500 are universal between the different models. Can someone please point me to which one I need?

You shouldn't have any problem installing any 500 (or Maverick) barrel made for the same gauge and same magazine length as your gun. Someone posted a link to some Mossberg barrel closeouts that were pretty good deals a while back, but the 'search this forum' button seems not to be working for me right now. There's a long list at http://www.tjgeneralstore.com/moss-bbl.htm fwiw, as with anything else shop around before you buy though.

Lee nailed it. As long as the gauge and magazine lentgh are the same they should fit.
