I have owned a Mossberg 500C for a few years, and I want to buy a new stock set. It came with the youth stock set, and I would like a polymer/composite type of stock set on it now. I see Mossberg 500 compatible items all over, but I am wondering if they are all compatible with the 20 Gauge. I know that the 12 Gauge butt stock will fit, but will have a little bit of a lip where it meets the receiver. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some of the present after market stocks for the 20ga are simply a 12ga stock set with an adaptors .
You might consider going directly to Mossberg for a stock set, as I think they are competitive in price - particularly for a standard style.

The recievers are actually different sizes, but Mossberg makes full sized stocks for the 20s. But very few aftermarket companies do.
