I was just wondering if any other Mossberg 590 owners out there have swapped out their plastic stocks and replaced them with wood? I am contemplating this change and would like to see a photo or two if anyone out there has one to share. Thanks!

justsurvivingincalifornia, Wow! :what: That is a beautiful set of wood! That stock set with the ribbed fore-end is what I am contemplating putting on my 590 if I can find a set, which I am sure I can.

Did you refinish those by chance? IF so, can you enlighten me as to what you did to make them look so good?

A 590 should take any furniture a 500 would. People stick aftermarket "for model 500" forearms and stocks on their 590's all the time (but usually they want more Tacticool, not less).

Anything you care to stick on there should work.

Ok, I borrowed a stock set from my friend and put them on my 590. I kinda like it. I am just wondering what the opinions are of others? Sorry for the lousy picture...it is the best I could do. :(

My opinion is that I need to find some wood furniture for my mossy! That looks sweet.

Where did the parts you have on there come from?

Joe

I borrowed the stock set from a friend, so that I could see what it looked like on a 590. I like it, and now am on the hunt for a stock set for my own.
