Mossberg 930 JM Pro showing signs of usage?

pmcustom: You're going to force me to buy one of these things! I already own several "tactical" shotguns, but have been seriously considering getting the 22" version of the JM Pro, like yours. I think you just convinced me.

Unfortunately, it's been much harder finding one to buy than making the decision to do so.

I liked the fact that this gun has chokes and rib. I shot a few rounds of trap with it using the MOD tube and worked well. I did have to install the comb shim as it shouldered too high for me and the first test all shot a bit high.

Good luck finding one! I accidentally found mine (on line) after 6 months of looking at Spragues in Yuma.

HiccaBurp, my 930 JM had some of the same marks, especially on the lifter.

The other BIG problem mine had was that the mag tube was dented where the extension attached. It was so bad that if the follower did make it past, it could not make it back to load rounds. It turned my 9+1 gun into a 3+1... I fixed it, and then realized that the scrap metal follower was a piece of junk too and got rid of it. I replaced it with a GG&G follower that works great.

Does the JM Pro come with a Nordic extension from the factory? That was my big beef with the 930 SPX, that extension just wasn't done well.

When I was looking for one I was on every notify list I could find. I've gotten exactly one "in-stock" notice since September.

It isn't a nordic components extension, but it is an extension. My 24" Pro model is a 9+1 from the factory.

And as Jorg said....good luck with finding one. I was on about 15 "notify me" lists and didn't get a notification for 4 months. Then out of the blue, I saw one on the back shelf of my local Academy.... I picked that sucker up in a hurry

Wow! At Academy? I've never even thought of looking there. Is it a Choate extension then? On the photo...the nut looks like one from Nordic.

Lots of people say it is a Nordic Components extension, and it sure looks like one to me.

Now that I'm actually thinking about it...it does look better than other Mossberg extensions.... I think y'all got me on that one

I didn't even go there looking for one.... I went looking for ammo and then I had to do a double take to see if my eyes were deceiving me...
