I've come seeking knowledge from my fellow high roaders.
I was at my local Walmart today buying ammo, when on a whim I decided to look at a mossberg 930. I've been wanting an auto loading shot gun for a while now. It will be for hd and just plinking.
The price on it was 399$. I fondled it a while and liked the ergos, the saftey location and the black synthetic stock. I then went to my lgs to see what he could get it for because I try to support my lgs.
He said for me to jump on it because 480 was the best he could do. When I told him it was at Walmart, the other worker jumps in and says," don't do it". I ask why and he says well "its the Walmart version", they cut corners to get Walmart "specials" at such a good price. Is this true? Am I getting a better gun for 80 extra dollars through my lgs instead of the "Walmart version"? I really like and want the mossberg 930, but also want the best deal. Is the whole Walmart version thing I was told bs?
