Mossberg 930 SPX Advice Needed

Just purchased a 930 SPX, and am seeking advice on my options to expand its uses, which obviously starts as a home defense weapon. Can I use any of the other barrels that Mossberg sells for the standard 930; 24", 28", rifled slug, etc? I'd like to use it for say sporting clays, and assume that one of these longer barrels would be more appropriate, possibly including a choke?

My understanding is the barrel is the same as any other 930 barrel (stay away from 935 barrels though) The only thing you lose is the front sight but IIRC mossberg sells that sight to be attached to other barrels if you really want to.
