Had a Mossberg today that I could not unscrew the mag tube with a strap wrench. Made this one out of hardwood, used some spray adhesive for traction, and it came out easily!!

Outstanding, thanks for the pic. Are those carriage bolts? I've done something similar with a vice to hold the wood blocks and just turned the receiver. Do you clamp the receiver in a vice?

I clamp the receiver in a vise. I have a pair of soft plastic jaw chucks that are held in with magnets. They are Craftsman, and have several grooves to hold round parts. Works great to hold barrels when working on them.
