I had a friend bring me his Mossy 935 in pieces. What confused him, and me, was the operators manual didn't match his shotgun. It appears the manual shows an older model 935 with out the heavy spring in front of the piston and seal also, he had a new rubber o-ring in a package to replace the old one. Well' the manual only Say's "some models may not use a gas seal", of course the manual doesn't show where it would go or specify what models use/don't use the gas seal. Of course he took it apart to clean it because it wasn't cambering the next shell, so he simple followed the operators manual as far as he could. It's got me stumped.

The Mossberg 930/935 do not use O-rings.....

It should come apart something like this:

The gas piston should look something like this:

You should leave the spring in the barrel, like this:

If that is taken apart, then it is going to be a PITA to put back together....

If you have any questions, just ask, I'll try to talk you through it....

Thats it

Man! Thanks a lot. Question? Every thing looks the same except I did take the spring out:eek: now the only thing different from the excellent pictures you sent is a metal gas ring, or may be called a seal. Dose that sit inside with the spring on the bottom hence, why it's a PITA, because you have to compress the spring and screw the cap on ????

Again, thanks

The seal deosn't go into the spring side.

Compress and screw at the same time, since it's just a spring there is no need to disassemble just spray it out once in a while.

The seal just sits in th bottom recess of the opposite side of spring....

Good luck...
