Which do you all feel in general is the most accurate: The Beretta 92 F or the Browning HI Power? Thanks

I dunno Dan, the USAMTU guys at Benning might disagree. :D

David Sams, a retired MTU armorer/'smith has a web page that has some intestering stuff regarding the Berettas.

I'd rather have a BHP though.

salty.

What I am going to say is within the cotext of SD.

The minimum intrinsic accuracy of Beretta 92fs (out of the box) is 10 shots at 50yrds within 8in circle.

I do not know about you guys, but that is more than I need, and probably more than I can make use of in a time of dire need.

Get the gun that you are more comfortable with. they are both more accurate than you'd ever need

I'm surprised

All the Taurus PTs and Beretta 92s I've shot have been significantly more accurate than the P-35s I've shot. Although, admittedly, the Brownings were all rentals...

I think the Berettas with the slightly shorter barrel have less play and shoot tighter groups than the ones with slightly longer barrels. The Elite I and II are said by some to be more accurate also. So there is the issue of which Beretta you are talking about.

For me, the HiPower is shoots more consistant groups, but that is in large part because the grip size fits me much better.

^ exactly right

i can hit the same holes over and over at 7yds

at 15, pretty much same thing

at 25, id say 2in groups. good enough for me.

I agree the gun is only as accurate as the person pulling the trigger, some guns perform better for some people than other guns, it comes down to how you feel with the gun and how good you are. Of course in match shooting youre going to find people that prefer certain guns, but even then its a personal choice based on how that gun feels to them.

My BHP MKII is more accurate than my Beretta 92fs, even with its miniscule sights and gritty trigger pull. If not for this, I would've sold this gun long ago.
