Most Beautiful Gun Ever??

You know when you think about it sometimes the "things" that are the most beautiful (and precious too), are those which have the greatest memories attached to them. Thanks for sharing yours with us.

P.S.-Neat rifle too! Reminds me of the single shot .22 my Dad had when he was a kid growing up during the Depression. Used it to put meat on the table during those bleak times.

The gun is beautiful, but why so expensive?

And is it more beautiful than this S&W 629?

Or, if you're a sucker for beautiful bluing, how about this SOG Agency?

Beauty is only skin deep, but Glocks are ugly to the bone!

Me and my brother skinned a lot of squirrels brought home by that rifle. We used that rifle and others like it to help feed the family many times. But what we did doesn't compare to what my uncle went through. His dad (dear old grandpa) left him and grandma and his 4 sisters with no visible means of support at all. Grandma would give my uncle TWO .22 rounds (shorts most likely since they were cheaper) and tell him to bring home something to eat. We got an awful lot of food from the land we lived on from catfish to quail and everything in between. A rifle like that .22 can put meat in the pot and keep on working until we've long since stopped moving. This one has already outlived 2 owners and me and my brother both have health issues so it could be moving on to yet another generation before too long. Hopefully not real soon of course. :) But to me that's a thing of beauty. It's simplicity makes it incredibly durable. I have plenty of guns that are more pleasing to the eye. This one is pleasing in a lot of other ways or at least to me it is. And when it gets right down to it the thing isn't bad looking. At one time it would have looked pretty good in fact. But I look at it as something that will go on feeding people for a long time to come especially if hard times come again (and they always do).

there are many like it, but this one is mine.:neener:

Great bluing yes.... But the grips don't do much for me. They remind me of the cinnamon rolls we have once in a while. ;)

Beauty in simplicity. No need for over-the-top finishes, or extinct animal grips.

I think the bluing on the Korth Semi autos is gorgeous.
The Colt Double Diamond 1911 and Python sets are great too.

Most Beautiful Gun Ever??

The gun that saved your life would be one.

Or the gun that you've carried for most of your adult days.

Or even the gun you grew up with.

But big bucks don't necessarily mean the object is beautiful.

for me, aside from sentimental things, form follows function.

Therefore I love every line in the Pardini because nothing is there that isn't helping me deliver 5 shots on target with the upmost reliability and accuracy and control.

Confederate,

Gorgeous 629! I'll attempt to top it, but not sure I can ...

Colt 45s (well, 1 Colt 1911 and 1 Cimarron 1873 clone :) ):

Speaking of "simple elegance". Normally I don't care for stainless steel guns, but this one caught my eye and I plopped down the money.

Just a simple Smith & Wesson Model 64-3, with a really nice set of target stocks on it.

And about the best looking gun I've ever owned.

Smith & Wesson Model 58, 41 Magnum. Bonded Ivory stocks.

Funny how simply turning it over caught the light totally differently on each side.

I love the finish on it. That is one of the most beautiful finishes I've seen on a gun. The grips are very nice but the design, eh, kind of not my style.

I think, imo, the most beautiful gun I've ever seen was a toss up between a super excellent to perfect condition Mauser 1871, to a custom, not sure what type of rifle it was as it was many years ago, but it had fancy french architect style engravings on it. It was a very old french rifle with a much of fancy stuff on it. Saw it in a museum. Sadly I have no pictures. Tried finding google image pictures but nothing. Those were what got me into wanting to collect rifles/guns. That and a combo of the History channel plus playing FPS war/survival horror video games. lol

Lets see I can buy 1 each a Bare ,Wilson , Brown . And shoot them . Like another poster I think at $1,195 it be over priced. Trigger and grips for sure ugly . Heck I give you all a deal. I will sell my Colt Defender with Wilson bullet proof parts and Esmeralda grips for $9,999

Maybe an unusual submission among all the steel 'n' wood classics usually found in these types of threads, but I think the USP full-size 9mm or 40 is almost perfectly proportioned visually. Especially a Custom Combat setup with the rail adapter like Colion Noir's:

Hate the grips and the trigger on that Cabot....

Now THIS is a beautiful gun!! (Smith and Wesson Model 19-2 .357 Magnum)

You can find them new in the box with a little searching for less than $1,000.

That slide better be solid gold, the frame better have some of the metal of Pontius Pilots spear and it should have belonged to and or killed somebody really important.

Should be enough for deer.
Not the really big deer in the Midwest. Just those puny southern deer.
