My wife and I went to see 28 weeks later tonight. About half way through the movie I heard a sound like my cell phone hitting the floor. It took about two seconds to realize I forgot my phone in the car and my P32 had slid out of my pocket onto the floor! To make it worse there were about five or six teenagers behind us who flipped their cell phones open to look for what I dropped with the light from thier phones. I felt beneath my seat and I couldn't find it. I was afraid the kid behind me would see the gun and freak so I asked to borrow his phone and he let me use it. I quickly found it, put it back in the holster, and put it in my cargo pocket so I could button it up. Holy crap I was embarrassed. At least there was no harm, so no foul right?

By the way i was carrying the P32 in a desantis pocket holster. The stickiness of the holster does a good job of holding the holster in. Not so good with the P32 if your not careful!

I carry my P11 in my pocket during summer months, and I'm always wary of just such a thing happening. Your experience is one of my nightmares, and I'm very glad it worked out for you.

I hope you're not scrubbing Milk Duds off of your P32. :D

Wait 'till you drop it in a public restroom. Or the icecream aisle in Food Lion. Or accidentally lift your jacket up in Barnes and Noble.

:D

Or have it hooked on a chair when you get up in church! That looks reeallly good....not.. me...some...guy...what?
It could be worse.

Didn't someone post about being in a public restroom, and his pants dropped along with his gun in the stall, and a badge comes from under the stall divider ???

In reference to the light I normally wear a Coleman watch that has a built in LED. I recently bought a new watch (a nicer one that matched my wedding ring better) and I forgot to carry my light with me. It was a day movie and I didn't think of taking it. I won't make that mistake twice!

Actually what I think your refering to is someone was in a stall and someones gun hit the floor and got into their stall. The person then flashed a secret service badge under the stall and asked for the poster to slide the gun back :Grins:
Here i found the link http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=2898379&highlight=secret+service+stall#post2898379

Its makes no sense to not carry in a place that charges admission. It sounds like just another dumb idea put in place by some dumb legislator who had no clue what the heck they were talking about.

That's the only way to make any sense of it.

Do you carry in a pocket holster?

I carried a P32 for years in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster and never had that problem.

I mentioned earlier that the holster was a DeSantis and it was the Nemesis as a matter of fact. Normally I wear denim shorts but that night I was wearing a much looser fitting pair of cotton shorts. And this has never happened to me before either and I DOUBT I will let it happen again!

What's really interesting here is that I went to see 28 weeks later and I was also carrying a P32 when I did so.

Holster was an Uncle Mike's #1 - the P32 can't easily fall out of that - great holster BTW.

Jon - what's your .32ACP carry load?

My wife was in a hurry for me to take her to the grocery store. I didn't have time to put on my iwb holster for my j frame snub. I just stuck it in my waistband. While walking down the isles it sliped down and I told my wife to slow down as I was trying to shift my gun into my right boot. I just shook my leg and it fell right into my boot. Talk about uncomfortable, but at least it didn't hit the floor. I learned my lesson. Always have a holster.

My wife made the mistake of just sticking her IWB holster in the pocket of her jeans one day. Later at Wal-Mart, she bent over to get something off the bottom shelf, and her Bersa 22 went clatter, clatter, clatter as it hit the floor. She said a fellow in front of her jumped to pick up what he probably thought was a cell phone. He picked it up, looked at it, looked at her and said "You dropped your....uhhhhh....your......gun?" She took it put it back in the holster said thank you and went on shopping.

She don't do that no more.

Newton, right now I carry a Corbon in the pipe and top round and the 73gr Fiochi ball rounds for the rest. They both shoot to the same point of aim in my gun. I like having the HP first. Its usually the gun I have in my pocket when I take my youngest one to the park. There are often a lot of big dogs in the park and if I had to put one down I think a HP would have less chance of ricocheting off of the skull of the critter than a ball round. Also the Corbons are pretty hot and seem like a decent carry round. I have always liked them. I tried the Fiochi (thats spelled wrong isn't it?) HPs and they shot to a totally different POA than the ball rounds.

In NC you can't CC in a theater or any place that charges admission.

Snore. Don't ask, don't tell.

Mmmmm, I guess that would include not dropping it?

Seriously, if you put yourself in that position, just be prepared to take the consequences...

you probably want to go with a Glock if you drop it on sticky movie theater floors, the finish is much more resilient.

I'm always dropping my glock in public urinals. So far, no rust and it fires just fine... a bit on the stinky side.
