Class 3 and NFA type stuff aside, what would you all say is the most fun gun to shoot? An old (or new) SAA? 1911? 10/22?

Personally, I like my 870.

Well aside froma full auto BAR...

Pedersoli black powder 12 ga. double.

It just makes me grin.

My SKS. Not too many rounds (no spray and pray nonsense), accurate enough, reliable to boot, made out of wood and metal (like it should be), and just looks awesome.

A slicked up lever action such as a 1873 Winchester. It's a great and fun way to turn ammo into noise very quickly.

Marlin 39A
Son and I both have one. Best shootin' is when we play "swap shot" at a hill side of cans at about 50 - 60 yds. We're about equal so anytime one of us get's a hit and the other misses, there's alot of teasing. The most fun is when one of us pops one up into the air and the other one hits it while in the air. The other fun is when you keep the can moving till it's out of sight either in a hole, over the hill or just nothing left to shoot.

This sounds Ridiculous but I take great pride in my 92FS, I love to shoot steel challenge with it, and watch as the $3k 1911 guys look down thier noses at me... when I put down 6 rounds in 2.9sec and they find out I have 3 1911's the looks turn into questions, LOL.

Why disregard NFA stuff? It really is funner. And there's no law that says regular people can't shoot NFA weapons.

We're having a shoot this afternoon here in Utah that is just a friendly get together for local gun nuts.

We'll have -

Full Auto: PK, PKM, DP, RP-46, PPsH, MP5, M16, AK47, Uzi and more.
Suppressed: M4, various ARs, MP5, various pistols.
SBR/SBS: ARs, Krinkovs, and 12" and 8" Saiga 12s. (think of a 12 guage Krinkov)

Regular people will be able to play with all of these things, buy ammo, and shoot to their hearts content.

Now of course, this only applies to people who live in states that don't suck. :)

Daewoo DR200 rifle. With red dot system, it's unbelievable fun to bust cans & bottles, I can almost keep cans going in midair. More fun than blasting with a AR/M4 or AKM.

I'm disregarding NFA and class 3, et al, because I can't just walk into my local shop and walk out with one 15 minutes later.

I like to shoot, grew up on it. The guns I own are not necessarily very fun for my friends to shoot. I would like to buy something soon that might pique their interest when I take them to the range. Something that is just plain fun, and that I won't have to take out a second mortgage and wait a long time for.

I'm liking the idea of a slicked up lever action.

Nothing is better than shooting guns that have stood the test of time. Whether it be a 1911-A1, AK-47, Winchester 1894, or Remington 870. No "Plastic Sucktastics" for me:D

I enjoy shooting most everything but for interesting fun shooting the Kel Tec PLR-16 .223 is the most fun gun I've bought in a long time.

Kel-Tec Sub 2000 carbines are fun.

The folding action and compact size make it seem like it ought to be NFA somehow, and IMO, pistol caliber makes it more fun to shoot than .22 for plinking.

It's also fun to fold them and make people's eyes bug-out at the range.

My favorite fun gun is my 1911 .45. Just love the thing. However, it IS fun to pop away with something else now and then just for variety.

Anything that I don't have to wear earmuffs for - .22lr semi-auto or anything silenced.

Also, a gun that I'm particularly fond of that no one has mentioned yet is a Swiss K31.

Camp 9 Carbine

I own a tricked out AR, M1 Carbine, (Rugers Mini 14, 3 10/22s, 3 Mark IIs), 3 1911s, 2 92 FSs, etc but my favorite shooter bar none is my Marlin 9mm Camp Carbine. Sounds crazy but drop in a 30 round clip and have fun without reloading very often! Accurate, dependable - when set up right (just add an 18 Lb. recoil spring and toss the factory 11 #er is enough) it will eat anything you feed it. Marlin should bring these back!
