Gun Friendly

Don't know about now, but used to be that Vermont WANTED you to conceal the gun. The cops didn't want to see it in plain sight. Said that it might upset folks. No gun laws on the books indicates that they don't care if you have one or carry one as long as you don't bust somebody with it...unless of course, you have to in order to stay alive and healthy. Pretty friendly, I'd say.

I'd still say Alabama. We went from a D+ to an F on the Brady scale.

I know of no restrictions except the standard NFA stuff. Although we aren't considered a "shall issue" state, unless you live in Jefferson county (Birmingham), or are a Person of Interest, it is reatively painless and quick to get a permit. I personally don't know of anyone without a record who has been denied. About 10 minutes and $25 in my county. The states we don't have reprocity with are states that I don't really plan to visit anyway.

Nope, it doesn't vary at all. There are simply no gun laws on the books in Vermont.
Shall not be infringed means just that, shall not be infringed.

Can't have no silencers in VT whats so great about that?

i think that oregon is one of the most gunfriendly state you can buy i belive any rifle and get a full auto with a class 3 liscense and i think that to carry you neede a concealed wepon but you can buy any semi and any sized mag for that wepon and to shoot it also beleave you dont have to be in city limits too shoot it

*please pm me if im wrong on aything*

If you don't want to move to vermont or alaska (the 2 most friendly IMHO), you might want to check out kentucky.

Pretty good gun laws. Open Carry, Gun laws at the state level only, no AW Ban.

Oregon, CCW, traffic stop and dispatchers

Listen to the scanner in Oregon sometime. If you have a CCW and have a traffic stop, when your driver's license is run the dispatcher will notify the officer that you have a CCW. Been that way for more than 20 years.

In Shelby Co, Alabama all I had to do to get a Concealed Permit was print & fill out the form from Sheriff's website, send it in w/ $20 Money Order, and I received the permit in the mail 2 days later (good for 1 year).

No limit to amount of guns owned (or purchased at one the time that I know of). No wait period. No permit needed to purchase a gun. Just fill out the form, they call it in, and I walk out with my new gun 5 min later.

AR's & AK's and the like are easily obtainable (as long as they adhere to ATF Regulations.)

Doesn't get much easier than that!

Edit: Also scored an "F" on the Brady Scale. First time I've been happy to get an "F" :)
