I doubt very much that there is anything out there to fit a CZ-52 specifically, but has anybody given any thought to something that could be adapted?

I'm thinking that with the flat 7.62x25 trajectory, the '52 would lend itself very well to long range shooting with optics.

I agree that a CZ-52 with a scope would be lots of fun. The problem is finding a way to mount a scope without putting in on the slide. That amount of weight on the slide would throw the cycling off, I suppose. It seems it would be difficult to base scope mounts on the receiver or on the grips. But I wish someone could figure this out.

Yes, I'd definately think the frame would be the place to mount it.

I wonder if something similar to this 1911 grip mount could be made for it? With a grip plate on the other side, the two halves could be screwed together, clamping around the grip frame.

I had given it thought before, but with other "house-homeowner" projects I had to put it on the back burner. I am still going to try out what I was thinking about doing. If I am successful I will post the pics.

Clark, can you describe your device? For eample, why is the mount so large and how is it attached to the gun? Any more photos?

I don't know for sure but I think I saw a thread Clark posted in the gunsmithing forum where he was making a long barrel for a pistol out of an old mauser barrel.
Looks like thats what he has here and the scope mount attaches to the barrel rather than the frame or slide of the pistol. Looks kind of neat:)
