I was lucky enough to see this movie on Saturday with a couple of Infantry platoon leaders who had returned from Baghdad earlier this year.

They were quick to laugh at the film stating that is was all Hollywood, and had very little to do with reality.

However there is a lot of gun usage in the movie, most of it the uneducated will think is realistic. If you like accuracy in the details of your gun movies, this is not one you will appreciate.

I will not give any story plots away, and from the trailer you should be able to tell it is about EOD Techs. in Baghdad. If you accept it as entertainment, and don't focus on the details, you might enjoy the movie.

If you have seen it, please chime in on your favorite gun related mistakes.

Mine is when the Barret jambs and can not be made to shoot because of a little blood on the shells! So the good guys have to take them from the mag and spit and polish them so that they will feed, LOL. ( I will leave the long range shooting skills/techniques of that scene for someone else to comment on. )

Ok, for you vets, how many of you guys have seen the bomb suits used in Iraq for EOD disposal on site? Fortunately the guys I saw the movie with had seen the trailer with the suits being used and knew in advance the movie would be full of B.S.

So there is of many of these "little" things.........................

THR isn't a forum for discussing movies or tv shows. Guns, shooting, RKBA, range reports, ammunition, hand loading, rifles, pistols, shotguns, machineguns, shooting ranges, yes. Movies, not so much.
