If you get the chance to see the movie Shoot 'Em up don't waste the 90 minutes of your life. The movie is awful beyond all description. Some tidbits:
- The movie is blatantly political anti-gun in every regard
- The "hero" shoots and kills people the entire movie. By the entire movie I mean he never stops. He kills while he is eating, going to the bathroom, making love to a prostitute, driving.... all the time. I would say that he probably expends over 10,000 rounds in the movie and does not stop shooting for more than one minute at any time. He reloads twice. I guess I should mention he carries a human baby most of the time he is doing this.
- There are no physics in the movie, not even bad physics. The stunts don't even look remotely possible.
- There are more gun fictions in the movie than you can dream up. In one particular scene the hero hold bullets in hands between his fingers over a fire. The heat from the fire causes the rounds to go off and strike the bad guy. Hideous stuff really.
- There is no understandable plot, lots of bad acting, worse writing, terrible set design and did I mention it was bad... I meant really bad.
If you have already seen this movie you have my pity. If you have not, don't even waste your time when it comes out on DVD.
