Has it's faults, but some good things too. There is a gun show at the convention center this weekend. There are a couple of good gun shops in Yakima (shooter supply is one) and there are shops in the Tri Cities as well.
I live about an hour away, in the valley. BY all means, get your CHL as soon as you can. Wa has a 5 day waiting period (still) for handguns, unless you have a CHL.
Brady Law meant nothing here, except it mandated the telephone background check when it sunseted. We already had a waiting period, with exception for CHL holders.
Gets pretty warm here in the summer, but the winters are much milder than alot of the country. Not like the south though. You are, after all, in the "upper US".
