Hey everyone, what am I going to have to do about that? When I left Michigan 25 years ago I owned some Rifles and Shotguns and some Black powder pistols, but no Handguns. I'm moving home soon to be closer to my aging parents and I now own More Rifles and Shotguns and Black powder pistols but I've also added several Handguns and have my CWP from Arizona.
There have since seemed to be some different laws passed about Handgun ownership in Michigan that are giving me pause . I recently read that the Mandatory handgun safety inspection has been repealed. And I plan on obtaining a Michigan CWP as soon as possible after I get there. Should I try and get it before I move? Do I have any grace period to get it?
What else will I need to get, I should not have to get a permit to purchase as I already legally own all of my firearms. Or do I?
I already know how I'm going to get them there and what is involved, I.E. the Journey across country, It's after I get there that I'm worried about .
Thanks for the help
