Well, it's official. The job offer was finalized and accepted and I'll be moving to Forth Worth this summer. The most important thing now, of course (even before figuring out when to go house-hunting), is what the process is for obtaining a TX CHL.
I am currently a TN resident and have both TN and FL (non-resident) permits. Will I need to go through the whole licensing process in TX including another class? When I moved to TN, they treated my application as a renewal and I didn't have to take a permit class (though goodness knows I've taken several other classes).
I assume I can apply as soon as I establish residency, right? Can I continue carrying on my TN or FL permits until I receive my TX CHL license? I don't want to be disarmed for a couple of months.
Thanks for any information anyone can provide!
