Hello. Again, thank you all very ,very much. On the gun books, I try and write what I think I would ask were I exploring that particular type of handgun. Sometimes it seems that what I've read elsewhere in print doesn't always jibe with what my own personal experiences and observations have been. This is the reason that I pretty much stick to what I've seen "work" or "not work" long term. Any maker out there can turn out a crummy...or better-than-usual example of their guns and a fellow getting the poor gun vs. the fellow getting the perfect one will have two very different views of the the same make and model but both are true based on what they have seen and experienced. For that reason, I try and include more than one or two handguns of the same make and model. This takes time and money. I buy my guns just like the rest of the folks here so I simply cannot buy a half-dozen guns to test, but if I've shot that many (or more) repeatedly over the years, I feel pretty sure in making a comment be it pro or con.
This is one reason it takes me a while to crank out a new book. The other is that I just have too many irons in the fire right now, so to speak.
I also have to be interested in the particular gun in question. I just flat don't have the cash to buy guns that I'm not interested in keeping, be they revolvers or autoloaders.
I cannot promise the folks who trust me enough to buy my books that I will not make a mistake ... but I can promise to try not to.
