Muella Knife Steel question

It's not "C" because if it was they'd be telling you that. So they say "440" hoping you'll assume it's "C". Kinda like when they say "surgical stainless" which means nothing. If they use good steel they will list it.

Edit - I searched around and found some of their knives listed as 440C, some where the steel isn't listed at all and some where it says "moly-vanadium" steel. They look like a fairly good knife company, and if they used good steel the knives would be really nice.

You are right about the 440c. If it was then it would state it lol

But I just checked my knife again and it does say "moly-vand" on it not "440". actualy it says "Molibdeno Vanadio" haha I guess that makes sense since its made in Spain. But now I wonder what alloy blend it is.

I searched the websites also and some state that its made from stainless, moly vand, and some say 440. Even the Muella website sent me to an outside dealer site. Since the company is in spain I cant find a good answer.

Thanks for looking though!
