Mueller scope for Christmas???

Is anyone familiar with the Mueller 4.5 x 14 AO? Thinking about buying one for my son. He bought himself a new Sako 6.5 x 55 swede last year. Opinions please and if not what you would put on the gun.

Might give Vortex a good look-over, they have some excellent glass.

I have had the Mueller APV 4.5-14x and it is an excellent scope.

I have 1. Its great for the price. I think the optical quality is better than a Burris ff2, but not as good as the vortex diamondback. The turret adjustments are not great, but they are good enough.

I have a higher power one on a target .22lr. They are well liked on rim fires. They are not Leupold quality but not bad for the money.
For a gun like that you might want to step up to Leupold. Weaver is pretty good depending on which line.
Never had a Vortex.

Muellers are definitely good scopes for the price. Vortex puts out an excellent product as well. Their glass quality and lifetime warranty are handy and a selling point for a lot of our customers.
