1. The VZ24 98 Mauser is the only action that can be adapted to almost any caliber from rimfire, to belted magnums, to shotshell. As it is, it owns the other two ballistically and for hunting. Good ammo will be expensive. After market stuff is plentiful but not cheap.
2. For plinking/cheap shooting the SKS is the hands down winner. It has some potential as a varmints to lesser deer tool. After market is plentiful and cheap.
3. Probably most bang for the buck, but costlier per shot than the SKS, and less capable than the mauser action. Aftermarket is available, but cannot compare to the other too in quality or quantity.
