Ordering on line where do you recommend to buy Musket and percussion caps?
I can find #11 caps but not much luck my normal resources for musket caps.

I forgot about Dixie plus gamaliel has them also, years ago I bought a lot of my shotgun relaoding stuff from gamaliel's thanks for the link.

2nd question what about flangeless musket caps? any problem with those? My shooting will be target only.

There shouldn't be any problem using flangeless musket caps.
IIRC someone said that without any flange there's virtually no chance that a piece of metal flange can separate to cause injury during firing, which means that they're safer. :)

Remember I'm a rookie here but I did find the ones with out the wings cheaper so I'll buy those.

Also I think I read here #11 caps & #11 magum interchange with no problems?
Lots of magum caps available.
Time to stock up a little.

If your going to target shoot, the standard CCI no. 11's are best. And cheapest. I have a Zolie .58 musket and have the no. 11 cap nipple for it.
I have done a bench rest test at 50 yds. switching between the two nipples.
The no. 11 cap is far more accurate. I have won quite a few musket matches
and Aggs. using this. Most top shooters at the Nationals will only use the
standard cap and not the magnum. RWS 1075 is a good cap also.

Got what I needed from Dixie they don't charge the haz mat fee's either.
I'll switch the nipple out later or when I find the conversion one.

Just a word to the wise...I would keep that on the QT. And I'm sure Dixie would appreciate it, too. Don't wanna see them have any trouble for trying to save guys a bunch of money.
