Mustang sear/ejector spring

My spring popped out when I attempted to "ADJUST" (bend my spring to increase ejector tension). How in the heck do you get it back in? Can you replace the spring with hammer, sear, and ejector in place or do you remove those parts, intall spring, then install hammer, sear, and ejector? I see a hole at base of spring that can only be there as assist to asembly.
