Long story but here is the short version after I purchased it brand new in 2018 and before I even had fired it I noticed the blueing by the S&W trademark was milky in color on both sides of the frame. I tried to polish those spots to make it look better but to no avail , everywhere else the blueing was perfect. So it was sent back to the mother ship for repair it was returned like this , I am very happy with the results to say the least. I still have a gem no matter the story.

Well I got them for about $60 on Ebay from vendor called fatboys1011, they sell Altamont grips not sure they have any of these but you can check.

I have a M686-2 and love shooting it but I always did prefer the Blue finish on the M586 better.
You have a really nice M586, enjoy shooting it then pass it on to a younger family member for another lifetime of shooting!

These are great guns. Gorgeous and good shooters! I am an Altamont fan but haven't gotten around to changing out the stock grips it ships with. I think I may keep it this way.
