i am very happy with my ak's performance at the range this afternoon, and i thought i would let everyone in on how it did!

Background Info: Mak-90 milled reciever, 154gr wolf sp ammo used 100 degrees. with standard iron sights set on the "3" mark on the rear sight.

50yds Prone

1st five shot group, Half dollar size group (cold barrel)
1st, & 2nd three shot groups, less than a quarter(warm barrel)

100yds benchrest

1st & 2nd 3 shot groups half dollar size (hot, hot barrel!)

So much for an ak being such a crude weapon and the crappy wolf ammo!

Good stuff Possum, I'm in the process of doing an AK build right now also (stuck with a WASR for the meantime). Did you ever make it out to Capitol City gun club? I always use up a lot of wolf ammo up there.

No i sure haven't made it out there yet,a buddy of mine in my unit is from topeka and we were gonna go together but he is on leave so i made a target stand, and went to the range on post today, to do some cqb shooting. i am really excited and still want to go out there, and plan on it probally on the next 3 or 4 day weekend on a monday or tuesday, hopefully there won't be to many people there during the middle of the day. oh and how are the wolf ammo prices there? thanks!

I buy the stuff online or from Cabelas, and lately it's been around $150-per case (1000rd).

Oh i am sorry, i read your post wrong i though you meant that you bought it from them! that's cool, yeah i get mine from an ffl dealer, that owes me alot, and gets me the stuff for cost. or tries to at least. Hey maybe we could meet up at the range sometime.
