Lots of good shooting and memories coming from this I'm sure! Those boys will be remembering this years from now....to the point of reliving it with their youngsters, possibly carrying on by passing down the tradition.

If I had a dollar for each "no way, awesome, fantastic, thanks dad" I could keep them in ammo for life.
Next up, a couple of 870 trap guns for next year......after I find appropriate wood.
Not gonna live forever. I'd rather enjoy this stuff with them than leave it to them.
Thanks for the well wishes and Merry Christmas.
Shooting on Thursday.

Been slowly doling out family and other guns to them over the years. Each has one of the grandpa guns, a Sportsman 58 that #1 uses for skeet and #2 has a Fulton Hunter which has dropped a few pheasants. Something similar or related each year.
I'm also working on a historical document for the family stuff in the vault, i.e. great uncle's Krag, another's Shattuck 10 gauge, a battlefield pickup Type 99, and others which they will all get someday. Lots of history. Fun, educational and a lot of fun for me.

I had one as a youngster.

My Dad took half of an old bow and made me a cool target,,,
It was one where you hit a 3" metal disk with the .22 rifle,,,
The bow limb then propelled a clay pigeon straight up,,,
You tried to hit it with the 410 round.
