I finally sent off my papers Monday to the ATF for my C&R. I looked at my credit statement today and see they charged my card the $30 a couple days ago. Looks like I'm gonna be broke by the end of next week :D :D That's a fast turn around.

They charged mine five or six weeks ago - no C&R yet. I wouldn't get my hopes too high.

well if they are like any other .gov they are gunna charge you the fee wether your approved or not. and they charge you/ cash your check long before they get any real work done ( still waiting on my passport, .gov cashed all the checks)

Hey ... I can be an optimist on this one thing, can't I? I have seen some posts of guys around the interweb that some were getting 15 day turnarounds on their apps. So, I will hope.

Folks, it took over 3 months and several long distance phone calls after they cashed my check to get my C&R renewal. Don't hold your breath!:banghead:

Oh yeah, like the IRS says "don't staple check to form" . Wouldn't want to connect the concepts of doing their jobs with receiving money...

Mine took 86 days to get. Well worth the wait though. Good luck, I hope you get your quicker than I did.

Mine took about 5 weeks, I forgot to put down my chief LEO. They sent it back, I sent it back and got it 2 weeks later. Since then I sent it to MidwayUSA.com, got my dealer status and have since saved over $250 bucks. $140 on a scope alone. Good deal for sure.

Out of curiosity, how does the Midway discount work? Is it tied to your account, or do they give you a specific 'coupon code' to enter at checkout?

Well, since I sent mine to Ga., it seems that the people in the SE are getting theirs in a quicker turn around time. Must be the Southern hospitality :D

Be careful sorting your mail - the C&R envelope looks like junk mail! It's usually a blue or green envelope.

Happy Easter to ME!!!! I got my C&R in the mail today. Larger than I thought it would be, kinda figured it would be wallet sized, but it's about 8x5. Gonna need a bigger wallet :) Now where was that list of places to mail it to? .... I wonder if most of them will accept a scanned copy and emailed to them? I don't see that as any different than signing it and mailing it out.

So I sent it out March 5th, and got it back on April 6th. Only 4 weeks, but it sure seemed a lot longer.

Sent min in 2/19, still waiting.

It is my understanding that you must send or supply anyone you want to deal with a physically signed copy. Faxes and e-mailed copies are not accepted for C&R. Don't sign the original. Make copies and sign those, keep the original clean.
