So, I wasn't completely happy with my Colt Combat Elite when I first got her. I definitely loved the pistol, but it needed a few things in my eyes, so I changed some things. She was a shooter and good looking, but I just wasn't completely satisfied. so I decided to give her a second makeover. Well, here she is in all her remastered glory. .....and I love her now!

Here she is when I first bought her....

And after first modification.

Original modifications were....
-Wilson Combat slide stop
-Wilson Combat thumb safety
-Wilson Combat match hammer
-Match barrel bushing and new G.I. plug
-Wilson Combat solid trigger
-New Cocobolo grips with inlet Colt horse medallions
-Wilson Combat stainless grip screws

And how she looks today.....
Modification are.....
-Wilson Combat bulletproof new style slide stop
-Wilson Combat bulletproof thumb safety
-Wilson Combat bulletproof one piece checkered magwell/mainspring housing
-VZ grips Brown G10 Molon Labe (spartan) grips
-Wilson Combat blued grip screws

I still have a Wilson Combat extended bulletproof tactical mag release, an EGW carry bevel bushing and plug and a Novak fiber optic front sight with plain black rear on the way. Then she will be complete.

Great looking Colt. Did you fit the thumb safety yourself? or take it to a smith?
Thank you sir! I did all the work, interior & exterior , myself. I have been a Gunsmith for about 14 years now.

Very nice work but I still like the Colt Pony Cocobolo grips (though the Spartan Molon Labe VZ grips are pretty nice too)!

Great looking piece, I'm sure it shoots as good as it looks. Nothing like a having Colt tricked out just the way you want it, got a few of them myself.
