my experience at the gun show

Good for you for knowing the law. Sigs are good weapons and sounds like a good price. Here in the Peoples Republic of Pennsylvania I think you must be 21 to purchase a handgun and all private party handgun sales must go through an FFL and background check.
I am a member of a 500 member gun club that has turned into more of a bar/social club. Some of the officers don't even shoot or hunt. There are plenty of rats that would drop a dime on me if laws changed, some of them I've hunted with for decades. And guess what? They all voted for "chairman maobama".

I figured that the nosy geezer would leave me alone after I told him I was of legal age to buy it, and the only reason I even bothered to talk to him was because I suspected he worked for the gun show company. But I learned my lesson now...It's a shame how people just can't mind their own business anymore though.

One day I would like to walk around outside going about my daily business with my pistol holstered (openly carried) on my hip...just to see how soon it will take for the SWAT team to be called on me

Very nice score! And good for you that you are confident in your knowledge of the local/state laws, and not backing down because a pack mangy mutts tried to interrupt your private commerce. Your new Sig already has sentimental value!

Let me guess. These busy bodies where the guys at the tables just as you enter the hall who are always selling ridiculously overpriced used bolt action rifles and double barrel shotguns. I've never seen these guys make a sale so they probably have plenty of free time to butt into other people's business. A boo also goes to the State Troopers. If they are working security at a gun show they should at least understand the basic laws.

Um, ya, one would think that State Troopers working a =GUN SHOW= would be a little more "up to snuff" on firearms laws.

Would the state troopers have been "working" the gun show?

I've seen our local police walking through the gun shows but they aren't working. Well, actually they are working, we're paying them but they are there because they want to see the guns. You wouldn't see the same guys at a knitting show. So they are just there because there is nothing else for them to do.

The State police are always on duty at the No. Va. gun shows at the Dulles Expo center. I have seen several arrests there as some dumb bunny tries to buy a hand cannon from a FFl and when the NCIS comes back with a domestic abuse charge on it the SP just walk over and cuff the gent. One Trooper was so big the crowd parted like the Red Sea as he walked over to assist a smaller Trooper involved with an arrest. Kinda impressive actually.

We all know they just wanted you to return the Sig to the guy so they could buy it for the same deal you got. :)
