And here's why:

It is versatile. It can be cocked and locked like the 1911 (Variant 1), or it can fire DA/SA like the Sig P220, with a decocker even.

Its size, though bigger than micro 1911's and the Glock 36, is still relatively compact for carry.

Plus, it's one tough pistol!
 
My .45 compact w/ stainless slide does a number on the 30# freon canisters out to about 80 yards.
Playing "pig" with friends, when I use this pistol, my friends politely ask me to shoot something else, after they lose a few times.
 
How does it stack up to the Glock 30?

Looking for a 45 for carry, definately a USP fan (Own a 40 and a 45 expert) . . . but I heard the G30 is "it" when it comes to small concealables in 45 . . .
