My first AR build, what y'all think?

Build consists of:
-ATI Milsport Lower
-PSA lower parts kit
-BCA side charging upper w/bolt and carrier
-Faxon SOCOM profile 16" nitrided barrel
-Anderson A2 birdcage
-MI micro Gas Block
-Lantac black nitride gas tube
-BCA MLok hand guard
-MBUS iron sights
-Vortex Strikefire II red dot

Only thing left I really want to add is a foregrip

I like the 15" hand-guard on a 16" barrel. The Strike-fire is a great red-dot for the price.

But IMHO a side charger should be on the left side, or ambi like the Beretta ARX.

The MagPul BUIS are not "iron"
But are pretty good sights.

Well every other selfloader I've ever bothered with from AKs to my Remington 742 has always been right charging so it's what I'm used to lol but maybe one day I'll build one with a Gibbs upper or similar with a non-reciprocating left side charging handle lol

Haven't had a chance to shoot past 50yds but it runs no problem with M855 green tip

Yeah I'd heard great things about their barrels which is why I went with that one

Cant speak for the accuracy yet as I've not had a chance to shoot it past 50yds but function wise it runs no problem, I went with right charging just because that's what I'm used to and I hate rear charging

Looks good man, I like it. Good for you for building yourself one.

In my humble opinion they really are a great rifle. Not perfect for everything, but quite effective and so easy to shoot. It’s no wonder they’ve become so wildly popular. Priced at a point now that they truly are America’s Rifle.

Yeah the price going down is why I finally have one, and I like that I'm able to build it how I want it

It’s fun that the AR is the one rifle that we can look back at and say “I remember when they were really expensive”

Unlike the opposite statement usually heard regarding our AK’s SKS’s, M1s, Mosins, Mausers, K31s etc etc etc....
