My first "Fobus" holster...

But definitely NOT my last! I put this post in the "Auto" section because it deals with a P-32. As with many of us, I've found that such a light, thin little auto is a "must have". I was leaving the gun show and passed by a table where Fobus holsters were being sold. They were very inexpensive and I thought a little plastic paddle would be a great way to slip my P-32 on (over my belt) to carry out the trash, feed the birds, etc... Well, this is one nice little holster. I suppose it's made of Kydex and it says "Israel" on the side. It holds my P-32 surprisingly tightly, yet drawing is no problem at all. I wish I had purchased a few others for some heavier pistols just to see if they worked as well. Does anyone happen to carry something like a J-frame in a Fobus? Or is anything heavier than a pocket pistol uncomfortable? I'm really surprised and pleased at how well these things work.

I regularly carry Glocks, S&W revolvers, 1911's and other guns in Fobus holsters. Excellent value for the money, light, unobtrusive and convenient. I've taken them through LFI, Thunder Ranch and Chapman Academy, and they've stood up to thousands of draw-strokes and re-holstering without problems.

Yep, I love Fobus holsters too.

They are "just" plastic, though, and not really Kydex.

All Kydex is plastic, but not all plastic is Kydex.

If this makes any difference, I have yet to discover what it may be.

Just came from the shop; loaded mags (1911) and stuffed them into single and double Fobus pouches.
Oh, and some 079's, too.

The Fobus pouchs are GREAT for 'snow-matches'.

Guns get stuffed into moo. Or one whinny.

I also use a Fobus holster whenever I compete in IPSC.

It's just perfect for the purpose so much so that I don't sense the need to invest in custom made quick-draw holsters.

It's very secure, can only be drawn quickly in one direction only with one stiff pull.

I like it !

I carried a glock 19 and a 26 in a couple of fobus holsters and they worked really well.My friend uses one for his full sized beretta,works well for him.

I carry a J-frame in a Fobus paddle. Useful, easy on and unobtrusive. Hated to like them, but now I deal in them.

Thanks for the replies, guys...

There are so few truly "good deals" around that I was surprised by how nicely this little Fobus paddle works. I could stand on my head and the pistol would still be secured, yet drawing quickly is no problem. New_Comer is right. A quick stiff pull and "CLICK", the pistol is out. I also find it interesting that the Fobus *always stays on my waist-band during the draw.
As far as the plastic~I figured it was Kydex because it is so slick. It also looks like the Kydex sheath that my SOG "Seal Pup" rides in. (That knife kind of "clicks" into place also. The web safety snap isn't really needed. But, I'd be glad for the safety snap in a parachute jump!) Last night I wore my P-32 behind my back while a J-frame was on my hip..and it did just fine. This is the best twenty dollar holster I've ever found.

Fobus holsters are great. I've used one for a G22, and a single mag pouch, for almost 2 years with excellent results.

I own a Fobus holster for my Glock 23. Unfortunately, while I haven't had a great deal of opportunity to use it (MN isn't shall-issue...yet!) I do wear it at the range and when I'm deer hunting and I've been very pleased. It's easy to put on and take off. Also quite comfortable. I slept on the sofa wearing it during deer season (I was carrying Condition 3). Excellent holsters for the money.

I have three different Fobus holsters (belt, paddle, and ankle) and like them all. They all work well and were inexpensive to boot. Can't beat that!

I just got my first Fobus too. It is designed for sig 226, but fits my tz99 well. Retention is good and the pistol can only be removed with a solid draw from the top of the holster. The padle supports the weight of the gun (unlike the nylon belt holster I had previously) and it doesn't allow the gun to lean out or tug at the top of the belt.

Best holster for $20.

I bought one and used that for my first year of competition (IDPA). After about a year it was compleatly worn out. (Think thousands and thousands of drawstrokes).

I've since switched to a G-Code from Edgeworks, and it is a much nicer holster. But it does cost more.

So I guess I don't have anything really negative to say about the Fobus, I just prefer the G-Code in just about every way except cost.

My First Fobus, Too

I just bought my first Fobus, a paddle, for my Beretta 92FS. Works great-- cheap enough to be a throwaway but guaranteed for life. Beretta is 44 oz loaded, and it's comfortable. For those who have said that their holsters have worn out-- they are guaranteed for life. I'm pleased.
