Lets do a little reality check...

Yes. Let's have a reality check. Most of the posts here point to lug failure or possibly some flaw in the metal. That's a gun MFG issue, not the ammo company. I find it doubtful the ammo company would put much into this as there are too many other questions to be answered.

The gun MFG on the other hand has a distinct interest in why their product failed. My money is on them making the OP whole on his purchase plus some, and requesting he send the gun back for an investigation (IAW ISO 9000 or 9001 requirements, can't remember).

I started a second career in quality. Reputable manufacturers have no interest in supplying junk, especially junk that can get an end user injured or killed. They will handle this without dragging an attorney in the middle.

Proper course of action is to retain all parts and pieces and notify the rifle MFR.
