Well I had to have one of these so I traded for this really nice 686 no dash to go into my stable. I traded my Model 19 2.5" nickel to a person from one of the gun trader sites we have here in Virginia. I have been wanting a 4" since I have two 686 2.5" ones. Makes for a nice family :D

Beautiful guns!
Hey Snake....do you conceal carry those 686 snubs?

I just bought a 66 snub and a 686 snub....and cannot keep both, so am wondering which to keep.......

If you do conceal the 686, what holster do you use?

Thanks!

Thanks, I OC right now and use a Bauer Brothers thumb break holster, if I would choose probable the 66 but I really like how balanced the 686 is so it would be a tough choice for me , I would try both and see which one you like to carry best. JMHO

Nice addition to the family! I started with a 4" 686-no dash and would love to add a 2.5" model to the stable.

I'm a big fan of the 4" M686, I have a 686-2 and it always goes to the range with me.

BUT, since you have 2X M686 w/2.5" barrel I think I would have held on to the M19 2.5" barrel revolver. The short barrel M19 is a classic and a very good carry, I would have kept that one and traded one of the 2.5" M686 you have.

I decided that the 686 2.5 was a stronger .357 magnum overall than my Model 19 2.5 was for all kinds of ammo and they basically the are same size ( 2.5 is 2.5 ) and having two one as HD and the other a vehicle carry and it doesn't matter to me about on the person carry if I do carry it's open carry. Even though the Model 19 is a classic and a fine revolver I had a chance to get the 4" 686 that I had wanted for sometime now with a trade and no out of pocket expense , I am happy with no regrets.

I wasn't criticizing your choice, I was only saying what I would have done because I'm an old guy who likes the old revolvers, especially the classic M19.
