I wasn't criticizing your choice, I was only saying what I would have done because I'm an old guy who likes the old revolvers, especially the classic M19.I decided that the 686 2.5 was a stronger .357 magnum overall than my Model 19 2.5 was for all kinds of ammo and they basically the are same size ( 2.5 is 2.5 ) and having two one as HD and the other a vehicle carry and it doesn't matter to me about on the person carry if I do carry it's open carry. Even though the Model 19 is a classic and a fine revolver I had a chance to get the 4" 686 that I had wanted for sometime now with a trade and no out of pocket expense , I am happy with no regrets.
