Yet, when it comes down to move out of Cali (boycott the state), or why would a business want to do business in Cali (support them to boycott california)....all of a sudden it's 'You must feel our pain and help us poor Californians out!'

no us ignorant and apathetic folk should just butt out. hmm if they were truely apathetic why were they helping in first place. must of been some complicated form of Irony

btw I do keep tabs on what goes on in california. why because it does affect me when the corruption of one state spreads. what dirty tricks they try and get away with they next try it in another state specificly my main concern Illinois :barf:

even liberals are moving from california things are so bad the thing that is worse is they do the same freakin thing when they get to the new state turn that state into another crap hole.

you do yourself no favors barking my head off El Rojo.

I want nothing more than to see RKBA,2A efforts to succeed in California,Connecticut,Illinois,Mass,New Jersey,New York and any state I may miss.

California is (amongst others) a hostile country that threatens the freedom of the United States of America. For this reason, ANY exports of firearms or firearms related items to the Peoples Republic of California are VERBOTEN!

Vote for Hillary in 2008! All the nuke secrets you need will be provided to you (just pay her $ 2 million). Why bother with small arms if you can get the big boooom? Just a matter of money.

Anyone who lives in the PRK and agrees ought to write them a e-mail and tell them so.
That is my quote. Note the anyone who lives in the PRK. I have not called for an outright boycott of the Sportsman's Guide. If you want to order from them, order from them. I will not be doing business with them for two reasons. One, they have restricted most of the lawful items I can possess in California from being sold to me, so even if I wanted to, I can't order fro them. Two, if they aren't willing to lawfully sell lawful items to me, why should I support them? This is the only thing I have said. I have not asked you out of staters to help.

In response we get these statements from people outside of this state condemning us because we haven't done enough or we choose not to. I did bark about it because I am tired of it. It never ends around here. People from outside of California like to post in our threads tid-bits of information here and there that have nothing to do with the thread and/or anything to do with the real political or legal situation in California. And almost all of these posts have a negative tone that somehow faults us for sticking it out and fighting the huge up hill battle in California.

Sorry Kamicosmos, but you must have picked up the "Barrett is thinking about moving out of California" rumor somewhere. They are in Tennessee. They have stated they will not sell or service rifles to any public agency in any state or municipality that bans the .50 BMG. Good for them.

El Rojo.

My only thoughts on this are.

Benjamin Franklin at the Aug. 2 signing of the Declaration in Philadelphia, responding to John Hancock's remark that "we must be unanimous [and] there must be no pulling different ways. We must all hang together.": "Yes, we must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately."

I just bought an AR gooseneck mount, a vertical pistol grip, an Accuwedge, and M7 bayonet from CDNN Investments. I also bought an a M5 bayonet for the Garand as well. That is roughly $90 that the Sportsman's Guide threw away, but that CDNN was happy to take. Too bad Sportsman's Guide. :p

good to know CDNN is cool. they have not disspointed me. if they stopped selling legal items to Cali I would be dissapointed.

have not delt with Sportsman guide and probably wont unless they were to change.

CDNN is not cool. They stopped selling handguns to California residents 2-3 years ago.

I got that same letter when they wouldn't ship me silohouette targets I had ordered. Not photgraphic, mind you, just a silohouette. I live in NYS!

FWIW, I live in california, and I'm also a SG Member. One other item that SG won't ship here is bayonets, and certain knives. :( But I can't say I blame them.

Look at the letter from SG again.
Due to the various state, county, and municipal laws that exist

I live in Sacramento County. Until this year, Cheaper Than Dirt wouldn't ship ammo here. I don't know why they changed. If I lived about three miles west of here, I'd be in Yolo county, which apparently has laws about mail-order ammo. LA and SF have other municipal restrictions. Certain states like Kali and IL and NY seem to have a great many local restrictions on top of the state ones.

Some companies will ship items that others won't-I can get bayos from CTD.
But I'm not going to boycott a company for listening to their legal team-I've attempted to read our state weapon laws, and they're as vague and confusing as anything I've ever seen. With California as unfriendly to business as it is, I wouldn't take that risk either, unless the state could spell it out plainly for me-and they certainly won't do that.

This is where we disagree. I think the laws are pretty clear on what is an assault weapon and what is not. I think it is pretty clear what is prohibited and what is not. Bayonets? Obviously bayonets are not prohibited in the PRK. What businesses do is they just don't want to bother with finding out the truth. It is easier to just ignore us and act like we are too difficult to deal with. This is not true. The laws are very specific about what is what. Unfortunately the problem in California is not a vague law, but laws that cover just about everything!

If a company does not want to take he extra few steps of knowing what is legal and what is not, then they don't want to do business with me. I am not saying everyone should boycott them, but if you live in California and you can get your goods from someone who went to the trouble of knowing what is legal and what is not and will stand by us for our legal products, then I would rather support them than someone who does not. So I chose not to do any business with the Sportsman's Guide. If you agree with me, please do the same. If you don't, it is your money.
