Overall good shape I think. It's a 1948 made at Izhevsk.
I bought it from Interordnance. Matching #'s on receiver, bolt, magazine floor plate, and butt plate. Blueing shows a little wear around muzzle, but crown looks good. Bore is shiny. I was expecting a cosmoline mess, but it was cleaned up nice, just a light coat of oil and a bit of cosmoline in the nooks and crannys. I took it apart and sprayed all the metal with Gun Scrubber solvent, then cleaned it with Breakfree and finally a light coat of Rem Oil. Stock has some normal wear and tear, but no damage. I wanted a laminate stock, but they were out of laminate with matching numbers. So I opted to keep matching numbers and go with plain old wood stock. Action is stiff. It is pretty good when just opening/closing the bolt, but if I dry fire it, opening the bolt after that is a bit tough.
Only things I can see that I didn't get is the dog collars for the sling, and the cleaning brush.
