HA!
when you said meager.....I was thinking two or three. Thanks for posting, I don't feel so bad about my 4 870s anf two 1100s now. lol
And yes ....I have barely been skimming by without a Mossberg also.

Cool zebra skin! Is there a specific use for each gun or is it just collecting for the fun of it?

Hee.

"meager"... is the two 870s and one 1100 LT-20 Special I have in the safe and the neat 22" smoothbore rifle-sights-barreled 1100 12 ga on layaway.

There's just something about these older Remingtons.

:)

beats my whopping collection of two Remington shotguns, a lowly old model 48, long recoil action semi and a wall hanger model 10. I do stand to inherit a couple others, though, an 870 and an 1100. But hopefully not for some time.

i shoot them all, some more than others,my remington model 1900 made in 1906 with steel barrels does not like to have its picture taken with the young wipper snappers. i shot the zebra in botswana last year. eastbank.

i did shoot a 25-25 with the old remington and that meant more to me than shooting a 25-25 with my trap guns. eastbank.

So, it seems Remington was once ahead of its time... Nice fiber optic front sight on the 1900! Is it really worth the appearance alteration when you shoot it or is it just something you tried and might remove because it does not make much difference?
I like the fiber optic sights on my Encore, but they sit on a modern stainless and camo deer slayer muzzleloader, which came this way, and they just seem to belong there.

the fiber optic is a stick on and come off easy, with my eyes they give me a reference to where the muzzle is. its not a sight for me in the real sense, but as i swing on the birds i am aware of the muzzle. it helps me shoot better, i think most shotgun shooters are aware of the the muzzle in their field of view as they swing after the bird, even those who don,t have a bead on their shotguns. do they aim their shotguns like a rifle, no not in the true sense of aiming a rifle. where you hear about flooting the bird right above the bead(higher point of impact) you must know where in bead is and thats what a fiber optic sight does for me. i shoot against myself for fun, no money involved. eastbank.

If this is your Remington shotgun collection, what does your entire shotgun collection look like or do you only buy Remington?

one stevens .44 shot single shot, one rem .22 shot, one stevens teninite single shot, one H&R single shot, one win 1300 turkey, one win 1897, six model 12,s, one ithaca 37, three browning o/u,s, one cz o/u,, one charles daly double barrel, one browning single shot trap, one browning double barrel, one fox double barrel sterlingworth and 11 barrels. i think thats all of the shotguns. eastbank.

Apparently your definition of meager is greatly different than mine.

Very nice collection you've got there. Thanks for sharing.

You guy's notice that eastbank said that's just the shotguns!

I would think he is a rifle shooter too.

thats worse than the shotgun sickness, no to mention handguns. eastbank.

Looks like if society collapses and a football team comes to your door for help, they will each have a shotgun to help you fight off zombies :).

Nice collection of Remington shotguns.

Just my .02,

Mossberg 500's are good guns and I have had at least one for as long as I can remember. That said, there has always been a Remington 870 or 1100 sitting next to it.
(except for some very lean years when the only thing I had was a 20ga Mossberg 500 with a 19" barrel - it served me well and still does)

I also still have a standard weight 20ga Remington 870, and one of my favorite guns, the Standard weight Remington 1100 in 20ga.

No need in my house for anything other than an american shotgun.
