When my dad was in high school during the late 1920s, he bought two surplus Model 1873 Trapdoors from the Missouri National Guard for $1.25 each.I inherited this one, my brother got the other.
Thanks! Got a couple more Enfields n 1903s hangin around, an Eddystone '17 and an FR8 but no good pics at the moment. Sold off the Mausers, Carcanos, and Mosins when the ammo dried up. Never got into the French stuff either.
I can relate. My floating rifle pictures at the top took me a long time to setup and photograph. I have been putting it off for literally years
but had some time free so I decided to get it done. I photographed my entire collection over two days but now it's taking many more weeks to
do the cleanup and Photoshop to make them look good. It's a process and a labor intensive one at that, but it's fun.
