Retro, this is my experience and understanding of M14 barrels and bedding when it comes to enhancing a rifles accuracy potential.
All things being equal... there is no real difference in accuracy between a medium or standard weight barrel until they begin to heat up.
The medium heavy heats up slower and it will hold it's accuracy a bit longer than the standard weight when heat build up is a factor.
Barrel whip: The more rigid the barrel, the more accurate it can be.
The SAGE EBR uses a barrel whip reducing op rod guide block that is bolted to the chassis.
Also, 18.0" barrels are more rigid than 22.0" barrels.
My most accurate (sub MOA) MK14 has a medium heavy 18.0" barrel, but I prefer the standard weight barrel in a SAGE EBR.
Ammo and shooting conditions are other factors...
Pony Express, the sound suppressor is real. You, armslist and others can see and hear it in action

The rifle in that video is my old sub MOA MK14 before I had it updated.
A Gen I SEI/Fisher can that sold before it transferred into my name is used in the video.
Money: I don't have alot of expenses and my M14 collection is the result of about 9 years of horse trading.
The scope and rings arrived right after I posted the new picture.
They shipped it with a 5.56mm dial, but a 7.62mm dial is inbound.
I'll post a picture with the scope installed soon
