My New 1911 - American Classic II $450

Government Model ??????

Being somewhat of a 1911 and 1911A1 purist, I have to take issue with this pistol being labeled as a "Government Model". While it seems to be an excellent weapon for the money, it is about as far from a government model as a 1911 style pistol can get. I in no way mean this as a negative against these pistols. I have two RIA pistols and know from experience that the Filipinos turn out some high quality and affordable weapons.

Anybody know if these things feed handloads like a 200 gr lead SWC or lead RNFP?

M1911 and M1911A1 are the guns made for the goverment

I believe COlt owns as Trademark names,

this company in the P.I. could be having
some talks with COlt's Lawyers if they care.

yes they do. i have an American Classic Deluxe model, and it shoots fmj's and swc perfectly, and my own handloads, swc also. i have not shoot any jhp through it though, yet.
