American Classic II 1911

I think I'm going to trade 2 used revolvers for a new American Classic II 1911.

I've done quite a bit of research on the gun & all the reviews I've read seem pretty positive.

Has anyone heard of Outlaw Guns & Ammo in League City, TX?
That's the name of the shop.

I've never heard of them before so I want to find out if anyone has any good or bad experience with him.

Most, and I am one of them, think the American Classic ll's are fine 1911s. I have not dealt with that web sight before. It seems they are a tad bit high on their price but I could be wrong.

Wow they have gone up this last year! The RIA is another 1911 that many like but the finish IMO is nicer on the ACll

Their way to high for a American Classic Should buy the Deluxe for less than 500 and the GI (not best idea) for around 425 or so.

American Classic are not nickle or stainless They do come in Hard Chrome

Yes hard chromed....shinny, nice looking, pretty.

His prices start high, but he's willing to deal.
If you shop around & know your prices, Mark will come down to ball park figures.

The Hard Chrome ones are shiny, but I like the classic blue look.

I've also heard from a number of reviews that the grips are uber thick.
So I bought a set from Altamont Grips.

Just LOVE the Army logo'd ones.
They arrived via UPS today.
My 1911 was delivered to my FFL holder today, as well.
In WI there's a 48 hr wait after all the paper work is done.
So I can pick it up after 3:30pm.
Then it'll be a trip home to strip & clean it.
The first rounds will go thru it after supper

Picked it up at 4:00 - went home - cleaned & oiled the gun.
Was at the range by 6

very smooth shooter
I like the trigger
Seems to shoot a bit high & left
I need to work on that.

Will post pics as soon as I take some (probably tomorrow).
