Okay gang, I just picked up an HK P2000 as NOS from my local gun shop. I've always liked HK pistols, and even had a USP Compact a few years back that I parted ways with because I just did not like the shooting characteristics of the .40 S&W round. That said, I've still got a Blade-Tech Nano holster from the USP Compact that I'm going to try with the P2000. If it works great, problem solved, but my suspicion is that it won't work due to the ambideterous slide release lever on the right side of the gun. Given this, what would y'all recommend for a holster on the P2000 outside of the Blade-tech Nano? Yes, I know it's a great holster and works well, but I'd like to try something different just because. So what say yous?

Hey Winkman. Don't know the problem. Probably too broad of a question. You don't mention any preferences such as leather, kydex or any other of those products like Naughy Hyde.
As you may know, I am a leather guy and don't like kydex for daily carry. I think it is the perfect answer for those in the military, law enforcement, and any other dangerous games we play. Very strong.
That said, state if you want an appendix style (which I prefer) or a young man's  behind the hip position. And I hate IWBs.
If it is an IWB, I think it has to be a hybrid or full plastic.

Go to Kydex Pro forums, and peek around; those guys are doing some incredible bending, and I'm sure you'll find someone who can make what you want.

Well, the P2000 does definitely fit in the Blade-Tech Kydex holster that I bought for my old USP Compact, but having test carried the P2000 a little over the weekend to test out comfort level of the holster, I remember what it was I didn't like about the BladeTech Nano. I'm a sort of small guy, and the kydex feels like it slides around a little more than my preferred flesh out leather or shark skin. It is an IWB holster and I do carry just behind my strong side (right) hip. Looks like I'm going to be looking for a summer comfort style IWB holster in flesh out leather or shark trim. So, question two, does anyone here have any experiences that they care to share with regard to High Noon holsters?

I have an OWB High Noon Slide Guard. It is a good holster. It is well made, secure, and rides at a good height.

For IWB their Down Under is similar to a Sparks Summer Special II. I'm not sure the general consensus is High Noon is better than Sparks, but they seem to charge more than Sparks does, especially if you want horsehide or black.

I believe our resident High Noon fan is armoredman . He has several of their holsters, including I believe a black Down Under. He generally has very positive comments about their product line, if you like to send him a PM if he doesn't find this thread.

Edit to add: I see High Noon updated their site. The new version is a big improvement. Good for them, and us.
