Two weeks ago I picked up my new Blackhawk convertible in 45Colt/45ACP. Cleaned it and installed the 45ACP Cylinder and went shooting. First session called short since it was difficult to put 45ACP reload into the cylinder. I had never used a tight roll crimp on the reloads since they functioned well in the 1911's and a S&W 625 wheeler. I recrimped a both of 45ACP cartridges and that took care of that minor problem. What I did notice on the next two sessions was that while the revolver would print decent groups at 15 yards, the groups were 10 inches to the left of the aiming point consistently. The adjustable rear sight was crank as far to the right as possible but it would not move much from dead center either right or left. Now the gooder part. I called Ruger on the telephone today. Tomorrow Ruiger is having the firearm picked up at my home by UPS and shipped to their repair facility. All I had to do was pack it in a cardboard carton, put the return number on the package. UPS will have the shipping label. Great customer service so far. Keeping my fingers crossed that it wiil be back in 6 weeks and hopefully whatever the problem is will be corrected. Also have a 357/9mm convertible on order. I love the old 3 screw Single Six I own and thought the other two might make for a nice threesome.
