Alright...it's here! :) The G22 that I won on an auction site came in today via my FFL buddy.
Just as I expected from a police duty gun....holster wear, and a minty bore. Very pleased!

My Kel-Tec Sub2k shares mags with this Glock, so I've met a goal I had for awhile...carbine & pistol in a "shared" caliber....40 S&W....

and that makes me a happy camper!:D

Glock 22 and Kel-Tec Sub2k in 40 S&W

That's a nice duo! How do they shoot?

Thanks! The G22 should shoot great; just got it and field-stripped it yesterday and will be shooting this weekend.

The Kel-Tec I've had about a year and a half; it shoots well and at the 50-yard ranges I've used it does nicely. (I'm talking farmyard shooting...not on paper:) )

Never had a single jam or stovepipe, ftf, fte with the kel-Tec...I have taken a stack of G22 mags, run 6 of them straight thru/back to back, with no troubles.

Again, I can't say how pleased I am to have a "camp pistol" and "camp carbine" in the same load, and the same magazine.

Usually, the carbine is folded in a cordura bag in the storage well that's in the back of my Honda CR-V. My "trunk gun" for emergencies.

The G22, well, I'll find many a use for that....

trail hiking in my pack on the Appalachian Trail, carry as ccw via my Va carry permit, I'd like to get the .357 SIG convertible barrel and see how that goes...lots of possibilities!

I am a Deputy Sheriff from Bexar County here in San Antonio i purchased one of the guns from Dury's gun store who actually traded the guns for SAPD to glocks newest model the one i have has a low serial number for those who do not know the serial number on police firearms start with the first two letters of the city in this case "SA" then the gun number the the state "TX" these are special guns indeed for being unique i had made my purchase in jan of 07 there were aprox 60 guns there and the purchase came with 3 hi cap mags for $325.00 not bad for GLOCK it was as you described holster ware super clean barrel all matching serial numbers the main reason why i postewd this is what happened approx 1 week after my purchase is there was a news story about common folks buying the guns and the new police chief was outraged that civilians bought them so the new policy for SAPD is when a gun is to be replaced the gun will be destroyed not traded to be sold so my friend the longer you keep it the more special it is because no one will ever get their hands on another one that says "San Antonio Police Department" I will keep mine forever..I too have my eyes set for a kel tec.. i am looking for the super high cap clip for the glock 22 40 cal one that holds 25 to 30 rounds i believe. let me know if you find one in your area of the country i need it because we run into a lot of things down at my ranch near the border in south texas and help is too far away and a man must hold his ground if you know what i mean ...
