The actions is as smooth as glass, feels really nice in my hand....... I feel a trip to the range coming up tomorrow. I had to thin my herd a bit to fund it, but it is so worth it!
no holster yet, and will find out tomorrow if its as accurate as my 6" stainless one. This one cost me 4 guns (XDM, Glock 19, Sig P220 & P226). Had 2 Sig P226's.... the other ones I will replace over time as they are common/easy to find. A nickel 4" Python is not so common...
Nice gun, I've been looking for one of those since back before the prices went crazy. I bought a '67 blue 4", but never got around to getting one in nickel. I'm still looking because have these used type 2 stocks that only look right on a used nickel gun.
My question, also. I just checked my 1973, and the trigger guard is polished. Also, does the side plate screw hole look a bit dished? And are the sight blade pins blue or nickel?
it was made at the end of the run and the general consensus is that it's got some mixed parts on it as the extractor is blued also. There is a chance that its been refinished but he guy(older gentlemen) who traded it in had owned it since the early 80's and he had not refinished it. He also brought in a very nice M1 Garand and a 1903A3.........
made it to the range today, took my 4" king cobra for comparison. The trigger on this Python is smooth as butter. The target is from 10 yards, double action. The gun will shoot better than I can, but not to shabby...
