Like everyone everywhere, Supplies are short. Browsing online and calling every LGS that I know has reloading supplies this week has shown to be a good week for me. I was able to find primers and powders and bullets.

Today, I picked up 1k primers of Tula at $32. I spent $25 a few months ago.
A few day's ago, I picked up 1k primers of S&B SPP at $34.
Picked up up some Winchester SMPM at $34 per 1k IIRC
I picked up another 1k primers of Federal Gold Match LPP for $33.95
And also got 500 LRP at $3.50 per 100, I got 5 boxes.
Looked online and was able to pick up some .45 ACP Bullets.
They were plated, 230 Gr. Im willing to take em! 1k in total, 500 HP and 500 FN

I think I did OK in a weeks time. The LGS has some 9mm plated bullets in stock at $24 a box but I didn't buy any. I need to stock up on some more powder...

How has your week been in your neck of the woods?
Remember, Keep on it. You will find what your looking for!

The LGS I picked up the Tula primers still has 1k small rifle and 4k LPM primers in stock.
The other LGS that I got the Varget from has 10 Lbs of Varget and 10 Lbs of IMR-4350. Last i called 2-3 days ago, All the Varget was gone.
He also had I believe another 1k box of CCI or Win LRP. Hope things back to normal.

A couple weeks ago I picked 5,000 CCI primers, small pistol for $26.40 a 1,000. Also picked up 2 - 8lb jugs of H335. Lots of H335 in the 1 lb and Titegroup in the 1lb. Each for around $23 give or take.

Haven't found much for bullets but I usually don't look for those locally.

Congrats on your good luck. I have primers and powder on backorder that could take 6 to 8 months to get. However, things will get back to normal one of these days.

I wish I could still find CCI primers at that price.
Not likely tho.

Midway just had CCI small pistol primers in stock, for a few minutes. *sigh*

Things are looking up some. Nice finds. :)

A friend and I just placed an order for 4000 .45acp 200 gr SWCs from Missouri Bullet (two thousand for each of us).

They are quoting three to four weeks--not bad for these troubled times.

I'm really happy for you Josh, I had no trouble getting what I need except primers but I keep between 10-15 k of primers here at all times.

You did real well in one weeks time for your deliveries.

I feel guilty that the LGS that I use doesn't seem to have problems getting supplies, they have around 300lb of powder and lots of bullets if you like XTPs and Sierra rifle bullets, which I do.

Primers are what they have trouble with from time to time, it's kind of funny to me that they have thousands of small rifle primers and no large pistol primers.

I guess I would have thought with all the .223 shooters out there that these primers would have been hard to get but somehow they don't seem to have a problem getting them.

I think it's because there is no rifle ranges around here for 50 miles. Indoor pistol ranges are not hard to find though.

There is nothing wrong with plated bullets, it beats having to smell the lube from lead, I've been shooting them for the last 5 years and have found some killer accurate loads with them.

I like Berry's but haven't been able to get them so "Long Day Jake" hooked me up with some of the plated bullets he sells ( I think they are Xtreeme) so I will have lots in a few more days.

I never did run out but was getting down to my last 1k. I must confess that I was starting to get ansy about this ugly situation for the first time in my life.

I'm really happy for you.

Tightgroup,

I know how you feel. I was still looking around for FMJ bullets for .45 and some more 9mm and still haven't come across much. I guess one week is good, The other one not so much. We will see this week coming up if anything new changes.

I really would like to be able to find some more Uniqe and W-231. That is by far my favorite powder for .45 and 9mm. I find it funny that you can find bullets but no primers and i can find primers but no bullets!

I swear, If it was an easier way to ship out primers, I would ask for bullets in return.

I finally found some CCI LPP at a LGS an hour away, picked up 2K for $39.95ea. :what: But hey, desperate times call for, well you know...I also managed to snag 500 remington 9mm 115gn from Midway, in the time I was deciding between 1000 and 2000, they both sold out and I pulled the trigger on the 500 but it would only let me get (1) quantity, ughhhh...Oh well at least I found some. My normal LGS has plenty of powder but no primers, the other LGS I use has CCI SPP ($31), but no powder. Both have limited supply of bullets mostly Speer and Hornady XTP, but not in the caliber/size I need. Normal LGS has finally got in a good supply of cast bullets from a local supplier, they shoot good, but a little smokey on the indoor range, lol. I'll be glad when this is over and hopefully prices come back down to make reloading a lot cheaper than buying loaded ammo. Although high ammo prices make me feel glad I reload. Oh and actually having some to shoot rocks!:neener:

After the return of components following the 2008 "scare", I stocked up, and stocked up well. Now if I reload and shoot as much as I like, I'll eat into the supply, so except for some mild practice, I'm in hunker down mode. (:)D))

Today I was at our LGS and they have about 120 or so boxes of .223 55grn FMJ Independence ammo on the shelf for 11.99 for a box of 20. I did not see any go out when I was there so I hope things are starting to loosen up a bit
