I currently own a round cut Mika, but it prints too much in some of my pants......I am looking for an alternative I can use when the Mika won't work. What other pocket holsters do you gents find effectively conceal the outline of a revolver, yet slip out of the pocket with the ease of a Mika ?

I'm currently looking at The DeSantis Super Fly (apparently the "next generation Nemesis"...but with a flap that breaks the outline), the El Paso Saddlery "Pocket Max Horsehide" (a default condsideration; I find they seem to make holsters that perform), and two Galco models : the "Pocket Protector" and the "Front Pocket Horsehide". The Kramer looks nice....but I can't go $90.....budget constraints.

I look forward to your suggestions and remarks.

- regards

i have both the Desantis Nemesis and the Mika round cut, and find that both work well for me. after i bought those two, i stopped looking for other pocket holsters. the Super Fly looks pretty nice though, if i find one at this weekend's gun show i'll post about it.

I tend to use an Uncle Mike's #3 more than my Mika or my other leather pocket holsters. Less than $10 at Cabela's too.

I guess its a matter of perception. I used a Mika Pocket holster, tonight with my new (old) 642, and it seemed to practically disappear in my pocket. It may have something to do with the fact that more often than not, the gun in my pocket is a G26.

I was very pleased with the Mika. The Uncle Mikes forms more to the gun, and may be a little thinner, but over time, it will print more than the Mika.

Kramer?

I went with the Kramer pocket holster as I have been satisfied with their IWB
holsters for my 686/1911/SP 101 and I wasn't disappointed with the pocket holster.

But I agree...at $ 90 (almost 1/2 of what i paid for the Taurus M85 that carries it) its pricey. I've also been satisfied with the DeSantis Nemesis. I might even try out their "Super Fly" holster .

What the heck - I have a BOX in which I keep my holsters. In it are the ones I use along with the discards. The fact that I have a box to keep them in tells you how much trial and error has gone into my holster use since I got my CHL 10 years ago.

Of course there are 5-6 guns I could and do use for CCW duty so that kind of boosted the my holster aquisition efforts as well :D
